Although Molokini gets hundreds of snorkelers every day, Sean and Kiki got us out there early and fast - we had the entire Molokini island snorkel spot to ourselves. You'll likely get a warm, sunny day with great morning views of the Wailea coast and Molokini. They're also experienced free divers who will dive to the depths of the Pacific to point our a rare fish. They are pros who absolutely know what they're doing. The trip included breakfast (the cinnamon rolls were a nice touch), light lunch (really tasty cookies), and a couple of fun and adventurous donuts (done with the boat, not the kind you eat). This was the most memorable experience of the trip my wife and I took to Maui. I liked that the tour left from Kihei which was both closer to our condo and much less crowded than the other ports. Our captain said it was the best whale breach he'd seen all season, so we definitely got lucky.) Jace and Jake were a great captain and tour guide team, and they shared lots of interesting information about the ocean life and island history along the way. It was spectacular to behold! (Note: Please don't expect this on every trip. One of them was putting on a show for us with full breaches and in-the-air twists. On top of all that, we were quite lucky to see several humpback whales breaching. We also saw quite a few turtles at Turtle Town, which was cool. The backside of the crater was also stunning with the deeper ocean floor, and the "elevator" was really fun to ride. Our family had a fantastic snorkeling trip to Molokini with Redline! We, of course, saw lots of great fish at Molokini with the amazing visibility. We had a lot of fun on this snorkeling trip. And sandwiches, chips, and cookies, and drinks for lunch on the boat. ![]() They gave us fresh cut fruit cup and cinnamon rolls for breakfast. His deck helper was quite, but he worked hard and fast, and provided great service to the guests onboard. He explained things well, and was very efficient. The boat tour was very well organized, it never felt rushed at any of the snorkel sites, nor did I felt we stayed at any of the locations too long. Finally, we went to turtle town, and of course, we saw lots of turtles there. ![]() La Perouse Bay is a great place to snorkel. Even thought there were passing rain that dumped on us while we were snorkeling, it was not windy, and visibility was great. After Molokini, we went snorkeling in the very south of Maui in La Perouse Bay. As the other boats started to arrive, we left for the backside. Yesterday morning, we were there snorkeling inside the crater with one other Redline boat. Another great reason to go with Redline, is that they leave from Kihei Boat Ramp, and they are the first boats to arrive Molokini, and we got to enjoy the Molokini crater to ourselves before all the other boats arrived. It is both a wonder and scary scene to behold. And I loved the backside! Lots of fish along the crater backwall, and when you look away from the wall in the opposite direction, you stare into the deep blue abyss that is the deep sea. It is the only boat tour that takes you to the backside. We went out with them yesterday morning, just before the big Kona storm arrived Maui at noon! Redline is the best boat tour to Molokini.
